Patrick Dickey, LMFT
Psychotherapist
License #99493
Hi, I’m Patrick Dickey, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I earned my Master’s in Psychology with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University in Culver City, CA, and I’ve been practicing since 2016. My clinical training took place at Airport Marina Counseling Center in Los Angeles, where I worked with all kinds of people, from individuals to couples and families.
I’m passionate about working with neurodivergent teenagers and adults. I provide supportive therapy for Autistic individuals and those with ADHD, helping them build self-regulation, self-compassion, and self-acceptance. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable being themselves, find safe and meaningful connections, and manage burnout. I also help clients navigate the challenges of unmasking and advocating for their needs.
In therapy, I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and I love using metaphors, music, humor, and a touch of levity to make our work together engaging and effective. I believe in the power of self-care to keep the nervous system balanced.
I’m also an LGBT-affirming therapist, dedicated to creating a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ clients where they can feel seen, respected, and supported.
I use creativity, warmth, and pragmatism to help you achieve lasting change.
